Bishop Dr. Eric Tate Martin, D.Min.

Senior Servant Leader

 

Bishop Eric Tate Martin is the founder and Senior Pastor of the New Light Bible Fellowship Church of Desoto, Texas.  In a short number of years his messages have touched many that have either joined or visited the church as well as those who have surrounded themselves around him whether on the golf course, classroom, community, or the many civic organizations that he has affiliated himself with.

 

Bishop Eric Tate Martin is a native of Texarkana, Texas.  Bishop Martin, has been pastoring for over twenty five years.  He has been endowed with many gifts, but none any greater than his passion for preaching, and teaching.  His educational background covers a vast majority of accomplishments.  He was educated in the public school system in Texarkana where he graduated from Texas Senior High School.  He went on to pursue a track and field at the University of Louisiana in Monroe where he accomplished many achievements in the sport.  He holds a BAAS in Business from Texas A&M, a Masters of Divinity from the Interdenominational Theological Center (Phillips School of Theology)-Constituent of Morehouse School Religion, and has completed his coursework and received the Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) with a concentration in Christian Leadership and Spiritual Renewal from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Va.

 

He's a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.  He is also the proud father of Erika Nachelle Martin-Arterberry, and Taylor Michelle Martin, and one grandson Tyson Alexander Arterberry.
